Employee dies of heart attack

Investigation abstract

Employee #1 was performing cleanup work in a cablepan during the night shift. He l infarction. was working on a duct over the entrance to a valve room, cleaning debris off wi th a broom. He was alone in the room, but the foreman came around periodically t o check on him. The foreman made a check and when he returned about 20 minutes l ater he called out to Employee #1 but got no response. He then found Employee #1 slumped in a partial sitting position on the duct. The foreman was unable to fi nd a pulse. Employee #1 was pronounced dead at the scene and was not taken to th e hospital. He had a history of heart disease and was believed to have died of n atural causes. The coroner verified that Employee #1 died of a massive myocardia
