A PIPELINE CREW WAS IN THE PROCESS OF REPAIRING A LEAK IN A NATURAL GAS PIPE WHE N A FLASH FIRE OCCURRED. EMPLOYEE #1, A BACKHOE OPERATOR, RECEIVED SEVERE BURNS ON HIS UPPER BODY. HE LATER DIED.
