Employee dies of natural causes
Investigation abstract
On July 14, 2022 an employee was found passed out and was transported to the hospital, where she died on July 17, 2022. After opening an inspection with the employer, it was decided to close the referral and open as a fatality investigation because an unknown person claimed that this was a heat-related fatality. Once the fatality investigation was opened, it was discovered with the Yakima County Coroner that this was a natural cause fatality. The employee had multiple underlying medical issues, and heat was not a contributing factor to her demise.
