Employee Dies From Head Injuries Incurred When Knocked Down

Investigation abstract

At 8:00 a.m. on September 6, 2022, an employee and a coworker were riding on the was hospitalized for a head laceration and skull fracture, and died from his injuries on December 3, 2022. rear passenger's side step of a compacting trash truck while collecting residential trash. The employee and his coworker stepped off the vehicle when it was close to the right side of the roadway. The employee was standing on the sidewalk as the coworker driving the vehicle pulled forward and turned left into a parking lot. As the vehicle turned, the right rear of the truck struck a road sign which broke off at its base. The employee was standing next to the road sign which fell on him and knocked him down. When the employee fell, his head struck against the concrete sidewalk and caused a traumatic injury. The employee
