Employee is killed due to workplace violence
Investigation abstract
At 10:00 a.m. on March 7, 2023, Employee #1 was arguing with a coworker. Employee #1 shoved the coworker, and the coworker responded by shoving Employee #1. Employee #1 and the coworker grappled a distance of approximately 8 feet, before the coworker shoved Employee #1 into the rear driver-side corner of a parked tractor trailer. Employee #1 hit the edge of the tractor trailer and collapsed to lie prone on the pavement. The coworker leapt on top of Employee #1, and punched Employee #1 twice in the side of the head. Employee #1 died as a result of cardiac failure caused by stress.
