Employee is found dead in truck

Investigation abstract

At 2:57 p.m. on April 22, 2023, an employee arrived at the facility to load two manager went to the office to get the employee's phone number and call. While calling the employee, the facility manager walked the yard to find the employee. When the facility manager got close to the truck, he heard the phone ringing. The facility manager decided to open the passenger side door but could not see anyone; then, he went to open the driver side door. The facility manager saw the employee on the floor of the truck face down, where the feet were by the gas paddle upside down, and the face was towards the bed of the truck with hands on the side of the body. The facility manager then called 911, who then transported the employee to the morgue. Per the Coroner's report, the cause of death was hypertensive cardiovascular disease with other significant conditions listed as PODS containers. He had driven from LA to Sacramento and arrived in emphysema and dehydration. McClellan CA, the shipping yard, around 12:35 p.m. The facility manager had unloaded two containers off the employee's truck and had loaded two PODS containers around 1:30 p.m. Around 2:35 p.m., the facility manager went out to the yard to let the employee know that they were closing at 3:00 p.m. The facility manager knocked on the door of the truck with no response, so the facility manager thought that the employee was using the bathroom.
