EMPLOYEE IS KILLED WHEN STRUCK BY TREE BRANCH
Investigation abstract
At 1:00 p.m. on July 17, 2023, an employee had gotten into an oak tree in order to cut a large oak branch that was dead so that it would not fall on the camping spot. The employee made the undercut on the limb which caused his chainsaw to become stuck. The employee was getting a second saw to make the top cut when the limb fell and struck him. The employee died due to multiple blunt force injuries to his head, neck and torso. The employee suffered abrasions, contusions, and lacerations, lung and liver lacerations, fractures of the vertebra, sternum, ribs, and a concussion.
