An employee was making sure that packages did not fall off the unload belt when a flat package slipped between the unload belt and a transfer plate. When he attempted to retrieve the package, his glove became caught on one of the belt rollers, pulling his hand between the roller and a piece of angle-iron located near the belt. His right hand was crushed, especially his right ring finger.
