The injured employee was about to inspect a docked vessel and was accessing the vessel through a gangplank. While on the gangplank, an employee of the docked vessel opened the hatch door which pushed the gangplank off the vessel. The injured employee fell 40 feet into the Mississippi River and suffered multiple injuries to her body.
