An employee was moving a steel beam to a truck with an overhead crane. The employee attached the crane hook into a bolt hole at one end of the steel beam to be moved. The steel was lifted and lowered to dunnage. The steel beam slipped from the dunnage and pinched the employee's left thumb, requiring hospitalization.
