An employee was attempting to get into the driver's seat of a pickup truck that had a suspension lift kit installed on it. This kit raised the normal height of the doors above street level. The employee was holding onto the steering wheel to hoist himself up into the drivers' seat when he lost his grip on the steering wheel, fell backwards to the pavement, and landed on his back. He was hospitalized with a back injury and had surgery.
