At 5:00 p.m. on August 14, 2022, an officer in a canine unit was bitten by one of the dogs on the unit. The officer was hospitalized.

An employee was patrolling the border on an ATV when the ATV rolled over. The employee sustained injuries to the neck, back, and face.

An employee was opening the window in her office when her foot gave out and she fell to the floor, injuring her hip and requiring surgery.

An employee was participating in equine training when he fell off the horse. He was hospitalized with fatigue.

An employee was in bike training. While trying to navigate some stairs, he lost his balance and fell. He injured his arm and was hospitalized for surgery.

An employee was driving an excavator that went off the road and tipped over. The employee was hospitalized with fractures and internal injuries. Their left arm was partially amputated.

An employee was backing a concrete delivery truck down a temporary road when a portion of the road collapsed. This caused the truck to roll into a drainage ditch; the employee sustained three left rib fractures and soft tissue damage.

An employee was operating a clamp lift truck to transport freight when it overturned, resulting in a severe leg injury.

An employee was driving a skid steer down an unimproved road when the vehicle hit an ice patch, left the roadway, and rolled downhill several times. The employee jumped from the skid sheer and was crushed by the vehicle at the bottom of the hill, resulting in multiple rib fractures as well as injuries to the legs, neck, and lungs.

An employee was making a grocery delivery on a scooter when the scooter hit a bump on the road. The employee fell off the scooter and suffered a fractured collar bone.

An employee was activating the sprinkler system at a sports complex following recent maintenance to repair leaky pumps. When the system was activated, a section of newly installed 3-inch schedule 80 PVC pipe struck the employee, who lost consciousness. The employee suffered a broken jaw and a concussion.

An employee was ascending a flight of stairs after exiting their vehicle in an adjacent employee parking lot. The employee stepped to the right to avoid another employee on the left who was descending the stairs. The employee lost their balance and fell on the stairs. They were hospitalized with a laceration/abrasion to their chin, a fractured left humerus, and bruising to their left knee.

An employee was working on an electrical panel in a mechanical room when an arc flash occurred. The employee suffered burns.

At about 3:10 p.m. on October 3, 2025, an employee was inspecting a car. Two dogs that had been in another car were leashed and tethered to a bollard. As the employee inspected the first car along with a narcotics detection dog, one of the other dogs came loose and attacked the narcotics dog. The employee was separating the dogs when the other dog bit his left ring finger. The last joint of the finger was injured and part of it was bitten off.

An employee was climbing a fixed ladder to perform maintenance in an attic. While unlocking the attic entry, the employee fell from the ladder more than 10 feet to the concrete below. The employee suffered a fractured hip, pelvis, tail bone, arm, and elbow, resulting in hospitalization and surgery.

After cutting a slab of beef short ribs, an employee turned to grab the pieces he had cut and his right hand contacted the saw blade. The employee sustained an amputation to his right index finger.

An employee was unloading a carpet pad from a truck when they fell from the truck dock to the concrete below, resulting in five fractured ribs and an injury to their left lung.

An employee was inspecting flares processes. The employee received burns to the front side of the body, face and arm from the flares.

An employee was removing plastic material from a production line when the machine cycled and amputated his left index, ring, and little fingers.

An employee was walking up a walkway to enter a building through the back entrance when she tripped over the lip of the cement ramp. The employee fell and sustained a fractured right hip.
