Final narrative
An employee was troubleshooting the air conditioning unit for an electrical panel and removed the filter screen to verify operation of the compressor inside the unit. He contacted a fan blade that was located above the compressor resulting in minor cuts to two fingers. Stiches were not required. While receiving first aid treatment, the employee fainted and hit their face on the concrete floor sustaining cuts to the face, broken teeth, and a fractured jaw.
An employee was pulling on a bale of corrugated cardboard boxes that were on a conveyor. The straps on the bale failed and the employee fell to the floor. The employee was hospitalized and required surgery for a fractured femur and/or hip.
