An employee was working in the back of his delivery vehicle (a tractor trailer) pulling a pallet of food products onto the lift gate of his trailer. As he pulled the pallet to the liftgate, he fell approximately 4 feet from the lift gate to the blacktop street below.
Employee exited his vehicle and was walking to the back of the trailer to open the door to deliver items. He slipped on the icy, snow-covered parking lot and broke his right ankle. The employee was hospitalized for treatment.
