Final narrative
An employee was gathering a porta power to slide a piece of equipment into alignment. His finger was resting on a conveyor lip approximately 24 inches below when the porta power fell. He tried to catch it by the hose, which caused it to fall and swing directly onto his left index finger, amputating about 3/4 of an inch of his fingertip.
An employee was moving a piece of an I-beam for welding when it rolled off the cribbing. The employee went to catch it when it fell and crushed the employee's finger, resulting in a partial amputation.
