Employees were mowing and trimming grass. While one employee was holding a mower's rear push bar, another employee lifted the front of the mower to carry it down four or five steps. While the employee was holding the front of the mower, his left ring finger came in contact with the spinning blade amputating the fingertip.
An employee was on an 8-foot step ladder repairing a glass panel over the boards in a hockey rink when he fell from the ladder to the skating rink ice. He lost consciousness and suffered a concussion, requiring hospitalization.
