An employee was trying to adjust a metal personnel door on a building that was being assembled. The door was not closing properly; he was pushing on the outside bottom of it, trying to adjust the fit, while another employee was on the inside trying to help him. The door closed unexpectedly, pinching the bottom of his right index finger in the jamb and cutting off the flesh below the nail.
