An employee was cutting a recessed cabinet panel on a table saw. The panel jammed and then quickly slipped forward into the blade. The employee's hand was in-line with the saw blade as the panel slipped forward and the employee sustained a left fingertip amputation. The machine was guarded at the time.
An employee was cutting angle components on a table saw. His hand contacted the backside of the saw blade; the nail and skin on his left index finger were amputated without bone loss. The table saw was guarded at the time.
