On August 11, 2020, an employee was working in a textile mill operating a fabric line in the pre-shear department. The fabric was beginning to curl under prior to entering the shear. The employee attempted to uncurl the fabric and contacted the spinning shear blade resulting in amputation of their left index and middle fingers above the first joint.
