Final narrative
An employee was rigging angle steel sections to be hoisted by a crane. A section was lifted by hand and pushed in order to free it from the rest of the bundle. While holding the section, gravel shifted under his feet and caused the employee to lose control. The steel pulled back to its original position and caught the employee's hand against the resting section of steel. He sustained a crushing injury which required amputation of the right middle and ring fingertips.

On February 16, 2023, an employee working in the capacity of an iron worker was watching a connection point to make sure the softener and rigging did not slip or get caught while the crane was picking up the load. The employee's finger was caught on the wire rope sling, causing the finger to be partially amputated. The employee required surgery.
After working all morning, an employee began to have cramping and feel ill. The employee later collapsed and was hospitalized for heat-related illness.
