An employee was repairing a broken yard end. While he was untying yarn ends to remove a yarn wrap from a 4-inch feed roller, the roller cycled, pinching the tip of his right thumb between a 2-inch tension roller and the 4-inch feed roller. He suffered an amputation to the thumb.
