Federal OSHA recorded a severe workplace injury at Sports South LLC, 101 Robert G. Harris Dr, SHREVEPORT, LOUISIANA 71115 on — Skull fracture and intracranial injury, affecting the brain.

On October 1, 2020, around 6:30 PM, the injured employee was operating an order picker to fill orders. Another employee struck a pallet, which was then pushed into the injured employee's order picker, causing the injured employee to lose balance and fall approximately 15 feet to the ground. The injured employee sustained a brain bleed and fractures to the skull, ribs, arm, and shoulder. Fall protection was not worn at the time.

An employee was operating an excavator on a pile of shredded batteries when a section of the pile above the operator broke free. Debris broke through the cab of the excavator and struck the employee, bruising their torso.

A security employee was responding to an urgent call from staff regarding a violent patient. The employee tripped and fell on the floor outside of the stairwell. The employee sustained a closed head injury, contusion of the cerebrum without loss of consciousness, and a closed fracture of the distal end of the right radius.
