An employee was using an overhead crane to lift a load of parts when the crane swung toward the employee and pinned him against the parts racks. He was hospitalized with a displaced bimalleolar fracture to his left leg and a closed fracture to his left ankle.
An employee was positioning a punch holder that was being lifted by a crane. The crane moved, causing tension in its chain to amputate the employee's right index finger at the first knuckle.
An employee was attempting to unjam a 50-pound steel bar from a machine platform. As the bar became unjammed, it slid down through the opening, hit the platform, and struck the employee in the back, breaking three ribs and causing a puncture injury.
