Final narrative
An employee was setting up lane closures. A car driver crossed over four lanes and hit the arrow board (already set up) and the company pickup truck. The truck in turn hit the employee, who suffered a broken left femur, chipped bones in the shoulders, a broken right ankle, and three broken ribs. The employee was hospitalized.
An employee was connecting a towable arrow-board to a truck hitch. A car entered the construction zone and struck the arrow-board, knocking it into the employee. The employee suffered leg and facial injuries.
An employee was working inside a barricaded area on a road replacing a broken electrical pole. A car broke through the barricade and contacted a fiber optic cable that was on the ground.
