Two employees were working from an aerial lift, preparing the outside of a building for painting. Another lift struck the aerial lift and both employees were ejected falling approximately 30 feet to the ground. Both employees were hospitalized for fractures and contusions. Safety harnesses were worn, but were not attached to the lift by a lanyard/lifeline at the time of the incident.
