Two employees were trenching in a fiber cable using a trenching and plowing machine. Employee 1 was cutting banding around the fiber cable; employee 2 was operating the machine and monitoring the cable as it was laid into ground. Employee 1 was crushed under the left track of the trenching machine, resulting in multiple fractures to their right leg and foot.
