An employee had loaded a roll-off dumpster onto the back of a dump truck and was driving. The employee pulled over to check the door of the roll-off dumpster, which then swung open and struck the employee's face. The employee suffered an orbital fracture.

An employee was hooking up a roll-off trash container, slipped on the ice and fell resulting in a broken right femur.

An employee picking up garbage at a stop along the route slipped on ice while pushing a small dumpster. The employee smashed his pinky finger between the dumpster and the back of the dump truck suffering an injury that required amputation of the fingertip.

An employee was operating a front end loader to load solid waste/refuse into trucks. The employee parked the front end loader parallel to a concrete wall. The employee exited the loader by stepping from the loader onto the concrete wall. The employee slipped off the concrete wall and fell to the ground. The employee suffered a laceration on the right side of his head, and dislocated his right shoulder. The employee was hospitalized for surgery to repair his dislocated right shoulder.

At a residential garbage pick up location, an employee was picking up a toilet to place into a Waste Management Bagster Dumpster Bag tote. The toilet hit the side of the tote and fell from the employees hands. The employee was cut on the right forearm by pieces of the broken toilet. The employee was hospitalized overnight for surgery to repair the cut and muscles damaged by the laceration.

An employee was installing wood trim surrounding a skylight inside a home. While holding a piece of trim in it's desired location, his pneumatic nail gun discharged, sending a 3/4-inch pin nail into his left forearm.

An employee removed a safety valve on a trailer that unknowingly contained nitrogen gas. The gas released from the trailer and pushed the employee backward off a scaffold approximately 10 feet before they struck a garage door, resulting in a pelvic injury.

An employee was sitting at her workstation when a nail gun malfunctioned and shot a nail into her left leg. She suffered a puncture and blood vessel injury and was hospitalized.

On November 25, 2023, an employee was using a high-pressured water hose to perform sewer line cleaning operations. The employee's right little finger and palm were lacerated by pressurized water from the hose.

An employee was hydroblasting when they slipped and the pressurized water stream lacerated their left ankle.

An employee was operating the compaction levers on a truck when a motor vehicle crashed into the back of the stopped truck. The employee sustained fractured ribs and contusions.

A maintenance employee was moving a forklift from the loading dock when the forklift fell off the dock. The employee was struck by the overhead portion of the roll bar, injuring his right knee. He was hospitalized and underwent surgery.

An employee was collecting garbage when they suffered muscle cramping and were hospitalized due to dehydration.

An employee was climbing a truck-mounted ladder when the ladder broke, resulting in hospitalization with a fractured left leg.

An employee was standing on the driver side rear step of a trash truck while traveling down a road to collect residential trash. The employee went to signal the driver and slipped off the step while the truck was traveling 8-9 miles per hour. He fell 18 inches to the ground and was hospitalized with a fractured ankle that required surgery.

An employee was closing a door when the door closed on their right index finger, resulting in a fingertip amputation.

An employee was walking into the motor control center (MCC) room when his right ring finger was caught in the hinge of a doorway. He sustained an open phalanx fracture, which resulted in a partial amputation above the first knuckle.

An employee was changing the spacing on a telehandler's forks. A fork slipped, and the employee's left index finger was caught between it and the mast. The fingertip was medically amputated at the first knuckle.

An employee was pulling down a broken skid with a forklift. When the employee backed up the forklift to get the forks out of the skid he pulled down, he contacted the forks of another parked forklift, fracturing both of his legs. He was hospitalized.

An employee was carrying cups back to the kitchen when her foot got caught on a cart and she fell face-first. During the fall, a piece of glass from a cup cut the inside of her mouth, severing an artery. She also sustained a laceration on her lower lip. The employee was hospitalized.
