An employee was using a punch press to punch a magnetic strip when the material jammed. When the employee attempted to unjam the press, their left index, middle and ring fingers were caught in the press. The employee sustained an amputation to the tip of their left middle finger and received stitches to their left middle, ring, and index fingers.
An employee was feeding material into a 14-inch mill (also called calendar) with both hands when the employee's left hand was pulled into the mill, pinching off the fingertips. The employee also suffered a broken wrist and forearm, requiring hospitalization.
