An employee accessed the platform of a saw machine to observe sensor issues. While attempting to fix the issue, the right sleeve of his shirt was caught by the gear switch that pulls the saw from left to right and his right hand was crushed. The employee was taken to the hospital and his right hand was medically amputated.
