An employee was working at Liberty Tire Recycling when his glove got stuck in the tail end of the pulley area of the conveyor belt and his right middle fingertip was severed.

He climbed onto the machine to reach a motor belt and pulley that was seven feet from the ground. He was turning the belt and pulley on the motor to see if it was working properly when another employee energized the auger causing his fingers to get caught by the nip point between the belt and pulley.
