An employee was standing on the side of the road directing traffic. A car was turning left and struck a passing vehicle. The struck vehicle was propelled off the road and into the employee.

ATMOS ENERGY Group LLC

An employee who had been checking meters was standing by a company pickup truck parked near an intersection along the left shoulder of a road. A utility truck and trailer loaded with utility poles traveling past the parked work truck caught the front left of the parked pickup truck and moved it approximately 25 feet, pinning the employee between the two vehicles. The employee suffered one broken rib and a bruised lung.

McInnis Electric

An employee was in between two parked vehicles. Another vehicle left an on-ramp and went onto the grass shoulder. It then struck one of the parked vehicles, causing the employee to be caught between the two parked vehicles. The employee sustained fractures to both lower legs.

Southeastern Traffic Supply LLC

An employee was near the edge of a road. Two vehicles collided and one of the vehicles hit the employee, causing a laceration to the left elbow and a fracture to the right fibula.

A Goodyear employee was replacing a steer tire on a semi truck on an interstate highway. A vehicle struck the back of the Goodyear truck, which in turn struck the employee. The employee suffered multiple injuries and was hospitalized, undergoing surgery.

A postal carrier was leaving his postal vehicle to walk his delivery route. An SUV rear-ended the postal vehicle and catapulted the carrier 17 feet into the street. The carrier injured his head on the road surface and was hospitalized.

An employee's left bicep was lacerated by high-pressure water during water blasting operations. The employee was hospitalized.

New England Traffic Control Services, Inc.

An employee was performing flagging operations on a closed road. A postal vehicle was allowed onto the road to make a delivery. The employee was struck by the postal vehicle as it was backing up, resulting in a broken leg.

An employee was walking and taking post-locate photos. He stepped on a ceramic drainage tile and his foot/leg punched through the tile. His leg was lacerated by the broken tile. The employee was hospitalized with internal bleeding due to a punctured femoral artery.

Employees were preparing to place a section of metal grating measuring approximately 50" x 18" and weighing 40 to 50 lbs. The injured employee grabbed the grating to pull it toward himself and another employee was moving to the other side to assist with the lift. As the injured employee pulled, his right foot slipped and twisted. He was hospitalized with a fractured right leg.

An employee was in their personal vehicle awaiting instructions from the construction contractor on posting traffic cones. The driver of a motor vehicle swerved to avoid a steel plate in the roadway and struck the employee's car. The employee was hospitalized with four fractured ribs.

An employee was working to deliver mail to an apartment building. She was waiting for a customer to move, to obtain clearance to the mailboxes. The door swung inward and closed on her right little finger. The top half of her finger was surgically amputated.

An employee fell from a step ladder while reaching for a tie-off point. He impacted the ground, and landed on his bolt bag which contained tools. The employee was hospitalized with fractured ribs, and a lacerated spleen and kidney.

GXO Logistics

On October 30, 2025, an employee was working to adjust a stackable metal shipping container. As the container dropped into place, it caught the employee's hands in an area between the upper and lower cross-members. The employee suffered a laceration to the left ring finger that required stitches, bruising to the right ring finger, and fractures to the right middle finger that necessitated medical amputation of the fingertip.
