An employee was walking from a back yard to a front yard at a customer's home. He tripped on a brick hidden in the grass of the back yard, fell on his right side, and suffered a broken hip.
An employee arrived at work and was walking into the store through the parking lot. The employee tripped over a curb and fell to the ground, sustaining a femur fracture.
The injured employee was trimming a bush with a hedge trimmer. He reached over with his left hand to remove a branch. The blades of the trimmer partially amputated his left index finger.
An employee was performing pest control services at a residential home when he tripped and fell on the front porch steps. The employee was hospitalized with a fractured wrist, two fractured ribs, and a subdural hematoma.
An employee was on a 32-foot fiberglass ladder positioned on a porch roof, using a caulk gun to seal the fascia board around the gable of a house. He was about 16 feet up the ladder, which was not fully extended. The base of the ladder slid away from the house.
