An employee was inspecting parts as they came off an assembly line. The employee lifted a part with his left hand and the other end of the part became caught on the line, pinning his hand between the part and a light pole. The employee sustained amputation of the left ring finger.

The bin struck the employee's right leg, causing a compound fracture of the lower leg. The employee was hospitalized.
