An employee was running a table leg on a router machine when the wood jumped, causing his fingers to hit the router bit. His right glove was then pulled into the router by the bit, resulting in a partial traumatic amputation of a finger through the phalanx, an open fracture of the distal phalanx of another finger, a laceration to the index finger, and an avulsion to the middle finger.
