The employee's head struck a protruding obstruction, causing the employee to lose balance and fall to the concrete about 5 feet below. The employee landed on their back and neck and suffered a broken neck vertebra.
An employee was working near a crane helping to install unit carts when the employee grabbed the steel cable of the hook sheave, resulting in a left pinky finger amputation. The crane was operating at the time.
