On 10/29/2024, an employee was assembling scaffolding when he mis-stepped and fell sideways from the scaffolding to a concrete surface 7-8 feet below. The employee sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI).
An employee was framing a soffit at the top of a scaffold. He pushed himself using bars attached to a desk as leverage. The scaffold started to roll too fast, and when he tried to stop it, he fell approximately 5 feet from the top of the scaffold onto the concrete floor. He suffered a cut on the head, a right knee and lower leg fracture, and a left knee fracture.
An employee was operating a battery-powered broom to clean demolition debris off the top of the outermost bridge girder. The girder was approximately 11 feet above the demolition scaffold below.
