A grapple truck operator was climbing an equipment ladder on the side of his truck to access the grapple station while it was raining. He slipped off a ladder rung and fell about 8 feet to the ground, landing on his left arm and stomach. He was hospitalized with a compound left elbow fracture, two fractured ribs, and a fractured L2 vertebra.
