The injured employee was helping another employee unload pipe from a delivery truck. As an employee lifted pipes with a forklift, a shorter pipe slipped off the forks and hit a wedge, which hit a 4" x 4"x 8' board. The board spun up and struck the injured employee in the abdomen, causing blunt force trauma to the abdomen that resulted in removal of part of the small and large intestines.
