During a stairwell demolition/rebuild project, an employee was standing on the second-level walkway at a height of 14 feet. A structural collapse occurred and the employee fell to the breezeway below and was struck by concrete and building materials during the collapse. The employee sustained a fractured left wrist and lacerations/abrasions to the body.
