The injured employee was moving a barrel of mayonnaise from a plastic skid onto a transport dolly with a second employee assisting. The injured employee leaned the barrel over to allow access to the cardboard slip sheet that was under the barrel as the other employee tried to remove it. The barrel tilted and fell to the floor. The injured employee tried to stabilize the barrel as the barrel was falling and the weight of the barrel caused him to fall, landing on the left side of his body on the concrete floor. The employee fractured his pelvis and hip.
