Final narrative
An employee was delivering a load of pipes to a customer. He was on the flatbed of the truck and climbed onto a bundle of pipe to cut the straps off. He then handed the pipes to people on the ground who were stacking the pipes. He went to step onto the next pile of pipe and lost his balance. He fell forward off the truck, flipped over in the air, and landed on his back on the ground. The employee was hospitalized with fractures to his C6, C7, and T1 vertebrae. He also sustained a fractured sternum and required 14 staples on the back of his head.
