Final narrative
An employee was pushing carts outside in temperatures averaging 85 F when he experienced leg pain. He went inside to check himself and found palm-sized rashes on his legs. After a few minutes, he lost consciousness. The employee was hospitalized for heat stroke.
An employee was walking across a sales floor. The employee and a customer collided at a corner; the employee fell and broke their right kneecap on the floor. The employee was hospitalized, requiring surgery.
On June 25, 2024, an employee was on a stock cart to pull merchandise and stock down when the cart began to roll and she fell 3 feet to the ground, resulting in a broken left knee that required hospitalization and surgery. The wheels of the cart were unlocked at the time of the incident.
