Final narrative
An employee was on a boom lift about 10 feet in the air, traveling backward. The back of his head struck a metal beam, knocking him unconscious. He fell forward, made contact with the controls, and was lifted another foot or two and then wedged between a steel beam and the lift. He suffered a concussion and a broken jaw and was hospitalized.
