What happened

[REDACTED] was delivering mail on his assigned [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] at approximately [REDACTED] when he was attacked by a dog. The [REDACTED] finished a swing and was at his park point of [REDACTED] reloading mail to continue when a dog come out of nowhere and attacked him causing injury to his right hand. The [REDACTED] was parked approximately 600 feet away from [REDACTED] where the dog lives. The carrier did receive medical treatment.
