Assisting a customer

What happened

A customer arrived at my counter; he was going to ship a package to an APO. The package was wrapped in a plastic wrapper. I tried to bring it closer to the scale by pulling the box closer to the scale. Since the package was not moving I tried to lift it few inches from the counter in order to get it in scale. Once I attempted to lifted it I felt a pinch in my lower back. But when I removed the box from the scale to measure it. I felt a strong pain in the same part of my back and it went down my legs.
