Exiting vehicle and slipped on ice fell backwards striking vehicle step

What happened

On [REDACTED] Carrier was dismounted to deliver to a residential address approximately [REDACTED]. Carrier had 3 points of contact and slipped when his foot was out of the vehicle on ice. Carrier fell backwards striking the rear of his head possibly on the metal step of the vehicle causing a gash on the back of his head. Carrier appeared confused and we contacted [REDACTED] and was taken to hospital by Paramedics
