Before the incident

While attempting to correct a chip on a conveyor at line 850 the operator grabbed the chip and their fingers on the left hand were pulled into the intake end of the conveyor. The operator called out for help another operator hit the EStop and the injured operator removed their hand from the intake. Operator reported the incident to the shift supervisor where he was taken to the local Emergency Department for treatment. The operator was treated for abrasions to the fingers of the left hand.
