Employee was unbanding a pallet of corrugated boxes to load into the box making machine.

The operator was using a knife to cut the plastic bands off of the pallet of boxes. As he went to cut the second band he had his left hand in the line of fire of the knife and as the knife cut through the band it followed through and cut the operator 's hand causing a laceration to the left hand.

Injury was a laceration to the left hand that required 16 stitches to close up
