What happened

I was at a house that had a big dog in the yard. I got out of the van and the dog fully layed down on the ground about 20 feet away from where I was so I took that as it was safe to put the pkg where they instructed me to. Right when I was about to place the pkg the dog jumped up barking making a b line towards me. He ran toward me and I turned my body to get back to the van but as I turned he ran close to my leg. I took a step and tried to run a little but I felt a little pop in the back of my leg.
