Before the incident

I was at the nurse desk and began waking to the patients room when the patients chair alarm alerted the desk of her change in position.

What happened

I was at the nurses desk as the alarm for room 341 alerted of the patients change in position. I began heading that way to the patients room when I entered to find the patient standing and falling from the recliner. I immediately reached out and caught the patient under her arms and the entirety of her weight to prevent the patient from falling further. That 's when i felt a sharp pain in my back but continued assisting the patient.
